Peters Elsborg

Peter Elsborg er postdoc i en delestilling mellem Center for Klinisk Forskning og Forebyggelse og Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen. Peter er desuden ekstern lektor på Institut for Idræt og Ernæring.

Peters arbejde drejer sig overordnet om sammenhængen mellem bevægelse og sundhed hos børn. Inden for den ramme har Peter tre overordnede forskningsområder.

Physical Literacy: Samspillet mellem individers motivation, selvtillid, kropslige kompetence, viden om og forståelse for bevægelse og dets betydning for livslang deltagelse i bevægelsesaktiviteter.

Udeskole og bevægelse: Betydningen for børns bevægelse, motivation og læring af når skoleundervisningen, regelmæssigt gennemføres uden for klasseværelset og skolens mure med udgangspunkt i fagenes mål.

Psykologi og idrætsdeltagelse: Psykologiske konstrukter’s (eg. Motivation) betydning for vedvarende idrætsdeltagelse blandt børn og unge.

Peter har igennem sin forskning desuden udviklet ekspertise i kvantitativ måling af børns bevægelse via objektive målinger. Peter er også ekspert i psykometri - måling af psykologiske konstrukter ved hjælp af psykometrisk validerede spørgeskemaer.
