Dominique Searle

Sektion for Epidemiologi
Ph.d.-studerende

Dominique is a PhD student in the 'Life-course Epidemiology' research group, led by Jennifer Lyn Bakker, with supervision from both her and Julie Aarestrup. She holds an MSc in Human Nutrition from Copenhagen University and has a particular interest and experience in obesity research across different life stages. Her PhD project, 'Intergenerational Pathways of Metabolic Disease,' utilizes existing data from Danish cohorts and registries to investigate how early life exposures—such as body size, body composition, and blood markers—are linked to the later risk of obesity and cardiometabolic disease. The project is closely tied to researchers at the Novo Nordisk Center for Basic Metabolic Research and a hospital-based clinic that treats children with obesity at Holbæk Hospital.
