Sara is a research assistant in the Section for Health Promotion and Prevention. She holds a master's degree in public health science from the University of Copenhagen, where she completed an internship with The Study of Cognition, Adolescents, and Mobile Phones at Imperial College London.
Before joining CRPP, she worked with register-based research at the National Institute of Public Health, investigating longitudinal associations between adolescents' well-being and their engagement in education and employment.
Sara has a particular interest in how structural and environmental factors influence the health and well-being of children and young people – with a focus on how the surrounding environment can support preventive and health-promoting behaviours.
She is part of the research group CHESS, which investigates children and young people's health, well-being, and learning. In her daily work, she contributes to the MOVEOUT project, where she is involved in data analysis and the preparation of scientific publications. She is also engaged in the early stages of the project Outdoor Play for All.
