Ida Kim Wium-Andersen is a specialist in Psychiatry and Postdoc at the Center for Clinical Research and Prevention. Ida completed her specialist medical training in Psychiatry in 2020 and her PhD in 2022 and has been associated with the center alongside her clinical appointments since 2014. Her research has particularly focused on the connection between somatic and psychiatric illnesses, where studies on diabetes, cardiovascular disease, dementia and depression has been the main interest. In recent years, her research has reflected her great interest in sleep disorders, and she will soon begin a larger study on sleep quality and sleep quantity using data from the Danish national health study “Den Nationale Sundhedsprofil" together with professor Merete Osler, postdoc Marie Kim Wium-Andersen and Clinical associate professor and senior researcher Terese Sara Høj Jørgensen. Ida also works part-time as a psychiatrist at Psychiatric Center Ballerup and at the private clinic SPP Klinik, where she treats patients with sleep disorders such as insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders and nightmares.
