
Tanja Thomsen is a postdoctoral
researcher in Center for Clinical Research and Prevention, Section for Health
Promotion and Prevention. She has a clinical background in occupational therapy
and neurorehabilitation, a Master of Science in Health Science and finished
her PhD in 2016 from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at Copenhagen
University. The PhD thesis focused on sedentary behavior and light-intensity
physical activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
Tanja has a particular research interest
in lifestyle and health promotion interventions to patients with chronic
diseases affected on physical function and mobility. Based on data from
clinical registers and qualitative patient interviews, the overall aim of her
current research is to qualify future health promotion and lifestyle
interventions to patients with rheumatoid arthritis in the Danish rheumatology
outpatient clinics.
