Stine Ø. D. Garn is a postdoctoral researcher at CKFF and holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on the development, testing, and evaluation of complex preventive interventions for children, adolescents, and families in vulnerable situations, with the aim of promoting health and well-being.
She works at the intersection of research, practice, and policy and has extensive experience with cross-sector collaborations involving municipalities, NGOs, and public authorities. Her particular areas of expertise include intervention and implementation research, realist evaluation, and mixed methods research. Previously, she worked as a knowledge broker, strengthening the exchange between research, practice, and policy and creating better conditions for translating and applying research-based knowledge in real-world settings.
A central focus of her work is understanding what works, for whom, and under what circumstances, and translating this knowledge into practical, evidence-informed solutions that can promote health and well-being and help reduce social inequalities in health.
