Malene is part of the team responsible for developing and communicating the regional health profile in the Capital Region of Denmark. The health profile provides insights into health, well-being, and illness among adult residents through the use of survey and register data. Malene works, among other things, with communication and promotion of the survey.

Malene holds a Master's degree in Sports Science from the University of Copenhagen and has a research interest in a holistic approach to well-being and health.
