Line Klingen Gjærde

Responsibilities-/Field of research:

Line Klingen Gjærde works as postdoc at the Center for Clinical Research and Disease Prevention in the research group in Life Course Epidemiology of Growth and Health led by Jennifer Baker. She earned her MD from the University of Copenhagen in 2012. Her research focuses on understanding how childhood body size and growth impacts short and long term cardiovascular health, particularly stroke. In her PhD she is investigating associations of body mass index and linear growth in childhood with later risks of stroke subtypes. She is funded by the University of Copenhagen and collaborates with a group at Harvard University and a group at Bristol University.
