Dorthe is a
PhD student in the research group of Life Course Epidemiology of Growth and
Health, Section of Epidemiology and has a master degree in Human
Nutrition from the University of Copenhagen. Her main interests are in early
life nutrition, childhood growth, reproductive health as well as the interplay
between maternal body size and infant health. Dorthe’s research has included
projects in prevalence of childhood overweight and obesity among different
ethnic groups and trends in childhood and adult height across sixty years of
birth. The aim of her PhD project is to demonstrate if and how patterns of
weight change during childhood and through to adult ages affect women’s
reproductive health and the health of her infant by using the Copenhagen School
Health Records Register linked to national registers.
