Friis Bryde Nielsen is a Research Assistant at the Center for Clinical Research
and Prevention in the Section for Epidemiology. She has a master’s degree in
Human Nutrition from the University of Copenhagen. Camilla has previous experience
with intervention studies as her master’s thesis was based on the randomized
controlled study D-pro, which investigated the combined effects of vitamin D
and milk protein on bone health and body composition in 6-8-year-old children.
Currently,
Camilla works on the InterVitaminK trial, which is a sub-study to the 20-year
follow-up of the Inter99 cohort. The overall purpose of the study is to
investigate the role of vitamin K in the development of age-related diseases
such as cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis and type 2 diabetes, using a
population based, genetic and clinical epidemiological approach.
